Another legendary place that attracts thousands of tourists every year is the Gugu Peak. This mountain peak known for its weirdness was in the Godeanu Mountains, near the Retezat Massif. The strange place is located at an altitude of 2291 meters, 25 km from Poiană Mărului in Caransebeş. This place is a space surrounded by mysteries still unexplored.

Legend has it that at certain times of the day the mountain disappears and, in addition, unusual phenomena occur. It is also said by the people that precisely the supreme god of the Dacians, Zamolxe, would have resided here. This is why the mountain was a holy place.
It is also said that Decebal would have hidden some of his treasure. The Dacian ruler was convinced that Zamolxe’s spirit would guard treasure. The inhabitants from the base of the mountain are called Gugulani and are recognized for their longevity.

Also to investigate the area, a group of researchers went to find the causes of the disappearance of a plane. They were confronted with unmotivated states of fear, sensations of suffocation, the impression that they were watched, the light bursts at the top of the mountain.
In a few hours of recording, the movie movie did not catch anything. Similarly, no one could give any explanation. The peak of Gugu is also mentioned by Victor Kernbach in his work The Enigmas of Astral Myths. The author says that this area is the center of one of the essential energy points of the planet.
